Construction Bank Johannesburg Branch (CCB Jhb) is CCB's newly
established overseas Branch in South Africa.
CCB Jhb
was registered by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) on April 17th,
2000. CCB Jhb officially began trading on October 2nd, 2000.
CCB Jhb
will concentrate on offering Merchant, Wholesale and Investment Banking
products and services to the South African business community.
CCB Jhb
is also promoting bi-lateral trade and investment between South Africa and the Southern African
Development Community (SADC) with China as well as related
Global business opoortunities.
The
visit of the President of China, Mr. Jiang Zemin during April 2000
further cemented relations between China
and South Africa.
CCB Jhb
aims to be pro-active in being clients' first choice of a domestic
Chinese Bank and to do any business eminating therefrom.
